Privacy notice

Scope and responsibility

This notice applies to the ROFIK public website and its contact form. It does not govern the separate ROFIK operational application or any services accessed through that application.

ROFIK is the data controller for information submitted through the Contact form.

Information we receive and why

When you submit an enquiry, ROFIK may receive your name, email address, enquiry category, message, language, source page, call-to-action source, and the date and time of submission. The contact service also processes limited request information to validate submissions, prevent spam, apply rate limits, and protect the service.

We use enquiry information to respond, route your message to the appropriate ROFIK contact, follow up on relevant conversations, and improve the handling of enquiries. Contact details and messages are not sold to advertisers.

Service providers and transfers

The public website and contact service use Replit infrastructure for hosting. Contact enquiries are delivered to ROFIK using Google’s Gmail email service.

These providers process information as needed to provide their services. They may process technical or enquiry information outside Cameroon. The location, contractual terms, and any safeguards required for those transfers should be confirmed before launch.

Retention

Contact enquiries may be retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing relationship, legal obligation, dispute, institutional process, or legitimate business record.

Email providers may retain messages under their own service and account settings. Retention in provider systems and backups should be reviewed with those providers.

Security and privacy requests

The contact service uses server-side validation, spam prevention, rate limiting, and logs designed to omit message contents. No internet service can guarantee that information sent online is completely secure.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your enquiry, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements. To make a privacy request, email rofiksupport@gmail.com

Applicable framework

This notice is intended to be read alongside applicable law, including Cameroon’s Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 relating to personal data protection. It is not a statement that ROFIK has completed every legal or regulatory step that may apply.
